  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup fresh berries
  • 1 tablespoon walnuts, toasted if you like
  • drizzle of grade A or B maple syrup
Directions
  1. Combine oats, water and chia seeds in a medium smartbowlTM. Place the lid on the smartbowl, seal the lid, and press the valve to release air. Microwave for 1 minute.
  2. Carefully remove from the microwave, stir, and check for doneness. Add additional cooking time if needed in 10-second intervals. When done, add berries to the smartbowl and stir. Place the lid on the smartbowl, seal it and press the valve to release air. Let sit, covered for 1 minute.
  3. Add cinnamon, berries and walnuts. Drizzle with syrup.
