A decadent, easy-to-make breakfast classic for any time of day.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 to 3 slices of challah bread, cubed
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • ⅛ cup half and half
  • cinnamon, to taste
  • maple syrup, to taste
  • powdered sugar, to taste
Directions
  1. Set oven to broil.
  2. Place butter in the small smartbowl™. Seal the lid and press down the center valve to release air. Microwave for 20 seconds.
  3. Arrange the challah bread in the large smartbowl™. Pour the melted butter over the bread and toss gently until the bread is coated.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine eggs sugar, milk, half and half and cinnamon. Pour over the buttered challah bread in the large smartbowl™ and toss to coat. Seal the lid and press down the center valve to release air. Microwave for 1 minute.
  5. Carefully remove the smartbowl™ from the microwave and mix ingredients well. Seal the lid and press down the center valve to release air. Microwave for 1 ½  minutes.
  6. Carefully remove the smartbowl™ from the microwave and let stand for 2 minutes covered.
  7. Remove the lid and place the smartbowl™ under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes, until the top of the pudding is golden brown.
  8. Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
