Tomatillo Salsa is also known as salsa verde and we love this tangy, not-too-spicy condiment on everything from tacos to scrambled eggs.

Ingredients
  • 5 medium tomatillos, diced small
  • 2 tablespoons jalapeño or serrano chile, ribs and seeds discarded, diced
  • ¼ cup poblano peppers, ribs and seeds discarded, diced
  • ½ cup white onion, diced small
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
  • lime to squeeze when serving
Directions
  1. Add all of the ingredients to the smartbowl™ and stir to combine. Place the lid on the smartbowl™, seal it and press the valve to release air. Microwave for about 4 minutes, or until the consistency resembles salsa, adding time in 30 second intervals. Taste and adjust seasonings.
  2. When done, reseal the smartbowl and press the valve to release air. Let sit for another 2-3 minutes. Once cool, refrigerate until ready to use.
