- 1⁄2 pound ground turkey
- 1⁄2 pear, diced small
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1 tablespoon parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
- 1⁄4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
- kosher salt and black pepper
Combine all ingredients for the turkey sausage in a large smartbowl, then form four 2-ounce patties from the mixture.
Place the lid on the smartbowl, seal the lid, and press the valve to release the air. Microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds, adding time, in 20 second intervals, until your turkey patty is cooked through and the patty is cooked in the center. Repeat to warm more patties.
Note: If using all white meat, your patty will cook in about 1 minute, 20 seconds, if using dark meat, it will cook in about 1 minute, 40 seconds, depending on your microwave.
- 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
Place spinach in your smartbowl, place the lid on the smartbowl, seal the lid, and press the valve to release the air. Microwave for about 1 minute.
Plate your meal: place cooked spinach on the bottom of a plate or smartbowl. Add the turkey breakfast patty to the bed of cooked spinach and place the poached egg on top. Enjoy!
